Coach Conduct & Platform Use Policy
Last updated: July 14, 2026
This policy outlines expectations for coaches providing services through Thrive on a Dime and protects the integrity of Platform-sourced coaching relationships.
1. Scope and Definitions
This Coach Conduct & Platform Use Policy applies to every coach, guide, practitioner, or other person offering services through Thrive on a Dime.
Platform-Sourced Client means a client whom a coach first discovers, meets, communicates with, is matched with, or begins serving through Thrive on a Dime.
These restrictions do not apply to a documented coaching or personal relationship that existed independently before either party encountered the other through Thrive on a Dime.
2. Platform Purpose and On-Platform Engagement
Thrive on a Dime connects clients with coaches and facilitates coaching relationships through the Platform. Coaching engagements initiated through Thrive on a Dime are expected to remain on-platform.
Interactions with Platform-Sourced Clients must use available Thrive on a Dime tools for coaching sessions, follow-up communication, scheduling, sharing materials, and ongoing coaching relationships, except where an approved exception applies.
3. Off-Platform Services and Solicitation
Coaches may not:
- Move or attempt to move Platform-Sourced Clients off the Platform for continued services.
- Offer, promote, or sell private coaching, consulting, readings, courses, memberships, or other outside services to Platform-Sourced Clients.
- Use Thrive on a Dime as a lead-generation channel for an outside practice or business.
- Discuss outside pricing or next steps in a manner intended to bypass the Platform.
- Request or accept direct payment, gratuities, referral fees, or other compensation from Platform-Sourced Clients unless Thrive on a Dime has expressly authorized a paid coach program under separate written terms.
4. Client Communication and Contact Information
- Coaches may not request or use client email addresses, phone numbers, social handles, or other contact information to circumvent Platform communication or scheduling tools.
- Client communication must occur through Thrive on a Dime tools when those tools are reasonably available.
- If a technical or communication problem arises, contact Thrive on a Dime rather than moving the relationship off-platform.
5. Materials, Resources, and Assessments
Worksheets, assessments, surveys, exercises, recordings, links, and other materials used in coaching must be shared through available Platform tools or through a method approved by Thrive on a Dime. Coaches must have the right to share all materials and must not use them to solicit outside business.
6. Credentials, Scope, and Professional Boundaries
- Coaches must accurately represent identity, training, credentials, experience, scope, and services.
- Coaches may not diagnose, treat, or represent coaching as medical, mental-health, legal, financial, or other licensed professional care unless the Platform expressly authorizes that service under separate terms.
- Coaches must maintain appropriate boundaries and must not harass, exploit, discriminate against, sexually target, threaten, or pressure clients.
- Coaches must respect confidentiality and privacy and may not record or disclose sessions without all required permissions.
7. Approved Exceptions
Off-platform communication or activity is permitted only when reasonably necessary for an emergency, required by law, necessitated by a temporary Platform failure, or expressly approved in writing by Thrive on a Dime. An exception does not authorize off-platform solicitation, sales, or direct payment.
8. Matching, Reassignment, and Platform Integrity
Thrive on a Dime may match, rematch, or reassign clients when reasonably necessary for quality, safety, compliance, user experience, availability, or Platform integrity. Thrive on a Dime may make final operational decisions concerning coach-client relationships on the Platform, subject to applicable law.
9. Compliance and Enforcement
Depending on the circumstances, violations may result in coaching guidance, a written warning, content removal, client reassignment, feature restrictions, temporary suspension, or removal from the Platform. Serious or repeated conduct may result in immediate action.
10. Acknowledgment and Policy Records
By participating as a coach, you agree to this policy. Thrive on a Dime may require affirmative in-app acceptance and may retain the policy version, date and time of acceptance, account identifier, consent text, and related audit information.
